The reliable spine
The non-AI spine is the source-linked workflow: clean records, rules, calculations, integrations, exception queues, approvals and reporting for Compliance and statutory workflows.
Furniture & Wood Products
Several regulatory surfaces run on one person's memory and a wall calendar, and each bites late and hard. First, the Furniture Quality Control Order, 2025: the ISI / BIS mark is mandatory on covered furniture (chairs, tables and desks, beds and bunk beds, storage units, work chairs, sofas and upholstered seating, under IS 17631 to IS 17636), enforced from 14 February 2026, with an MSME grace period to 13 August 2026 and an exemption for Udyam units within the notified exemption band; an uncertified covered product cannot legally be sold, imported or distributed, and a lapsed or missing certification means a line loses its retail shelf and its tender. Second, the board BIS standards: plywood IS 710 / IS 303, MDF IS 12406, particle board IS 3087, with grade-marking discipline the audit's focus and the E1/E2 formaldehyde emission grades that export buyers increasingly demand. Third, for solid wood, the timber-source and forest / transit-permit trail and the export documentation. Fourth, the statutory calendar: GST returns, the e-way-bill and e-invoice reconciliation, TDS, PF and ESI. A slipped certification or a broken trail is not a penalty, it is a lost shelf, a held container or a failed tender.
Who has it
Across all segments for the GST/TDS/PF/ESI and e-way-bill calendar; the heaviest obligation falls on modular and office furniture makers and contract and fit-out makers (Furniture QCO / ISI on covered furniture categories), on panel, plywood and laminate processors (board BIS grade-marking IS 710/303/12406/3087 and E1/E2 emission grades), and on solid-wood and joinery units (timber-source, forest and transit permits, export documentation and, where domestic, the QCO).
What we build
A compliance calendar with a named owner and escalation for every statutory, certification and audit obligation; a Furniture QCO / ISI certification register tracking which product categories are certified, the test records, the licence renewals and the MSME-exemption position; a board grade-and-emission evidence register tying each board lot's grade (IS 710/303/12406/3087) and E1/E2 test record to a retrievable trail; for solid wood, a timber-source and transit-permit register tying each lot to its source and permit; deterministic preparation of GST, e-way-bill, TDS, PF and ESI reconciliations off the connected data so filings are clean and on time for a qualified person to sign; and a licence and consent renewal tracker. Nothing files itself.
What is automated, where AI helps, who signs off
The reliable spine
The non-AI spine is the source-linked workflow: clean records, rules, calculations, integrations, exception queues, approvals and reporting for Compliance and statutory workflows.
Where AI helps
AI is limited to bounded reading, extraction, matching, clustering or drafting from the firm's own data for Compliance and statutory workflows; it never owns the number, the approval, the promise or the decision.
Who signs off
A named person signs off anything touching money, stock, a customer promise, a regulated filing, a payment, a price, a credit decision or a people decision.
What changes day to day
Certification, board-grade, emission, timber-source and statutory deadlines run to a calendar with a named owner instead of to memory, so a QCO renewal, a board test or a GST filing stops slipping; when a BIS inspection, a buyer audit or a GST e-way-bill audit lands, the evidence is retrievable in minutes; regulation becomes a managed, provable strength the firm can stand behind on a retail buyer's screen and an export audit, and keep its shelf and its contract on. Illustrative; final numbers come from your own data.
