Agri-Inputs & Agritech

Seasonal stock-and-demand sanity layer

The trade's biggest bet is the pre-season stock: the right seed, fertiliser and chemical have to be on the shelf before the rain, bought weeks ahead on credit, and the window is short. Stocking runs on one person's memory and a stale spreadsheet against the kharif and rabi calendar, so the business over-stocks the slow lines (which then expire) and runs short on the fast ones (which loses the season), and cannot see the working capital trapped in either until it hurts.

Who has it

Seed and fertiliser distributors carry the signature need, pre-season stocking against kharif and rabi, and the retail and dealer networks the same per counter; there is a parts-demand version for farm-equipment dealers, for uptime parts against the season.

What we build

A read-only layer over the order book, last-season sell-through and the kharif and rabi calendar that shows demand patterns, forecast-vs-actual gaps, slow-moving and near-expiry stock, stock-out risk on the best lines, and the working capital tied up in each, so the planner stocks the season with the picture in front of them. For the farm-equipment dealer, the same against parts demand for uptime.

What is automated, where AI helps, who signs off

Automation for the routine. A person on every decision that matters.

The reliable spine

The reliable spine is non-AI: the arithmetic over the order book, last-season sell-through and the kharif and rabi calendar that shows demand patterns, forecast-against-actual gaps, slow-moving and near-expiry stock, stock-out risk on the best lines, and the working capital tied up in each.

Where AI helps

AI is confined to reading the order and sell-through history and surfacing patterns and gaps for the planner to weigh; it never owns the stocking decision, the purchase or the commitment.

Who signs off

A named person signs off anything touching money, stock, a customer promise, a regulated filing, a payment, a price, a credit decision or a people decision.

What changes day to day

Pre-season stocking starts from a shared, current picture against the season instead of a guess; slow-line over-stock and best-line stock-out risk surface early; the working capital tied in stock comes down.

Illustrative outcome

Fewer pre-season stock-outs of the best lines and less season-end expiry on the slow ones. Illustrative; final numbers come from your own data.
