Auto Components & Ancillary

Faster, more accurate quoting / revenue operations

A job-shop or component maker loses programs to slow, inconsistent quoting. Each estimator builds a quote their own way (material, process, machine rate, overhead, margin), tooling cost is left out or guessed, and when a steel or aluminium index moves the old quote is silently wrong. Quote turnaround runs in days; the OEM's window is hours. The same part gets quoted at two prices by two people, and the margin assumption is never written down.

Who has it

Signature for the Tier-2 and Tier-3 job-shops, then the forging and casting units, the rubber, plastic and wiring-harness makers and the Tier-1 OEM suppliers; for aftermarket parts manufacturers it folds into channel pricing.

What we build

One standard costing template (material to process to machine-rate to overhead to margin) so every quote is built the same way, plus a quote register that versions each quote and re-prices when a linked metal index moves, plus a place to capture win and loss so the next quote is sharper. For forging and casting we wire in the real tool-cost-per-part from the die master in the production and job-work build, so tooling finally enters the price.

What is automated, where AI helps, who signs off

Automation for the routine. A person on every decision that matters.

The reliable spine

The reliable spine is the costing engine: one standard template, a versioned quote register that re-prices when a linked metal index moves, and tool-cost-per-part wired in from the die master, all deterministic and defendable.

Where AI helps

AI is limited to reading a customer drawing or RFQ into the template and matching the part to a past quote; the estimator still sets the margin and a person signs every price.

Who signs off

A named person signs off anything touching money, stock, a customer promise, a regulated filing, a payment, a price, a credit decision or a people decision.

What changes day to day

Quote turnaround drops from days to under a day; quoting stops depending on which estimator is in; the margin assumption is explicit and defendable. Illustrative example: a machined-components shop in the NCR cluster cut quote turnaround far enough that it stopped losing deals to slow response. Illustrative; final numbers come from your own data.
